I was a bit skeptical, Israeli soldiers shoot all journalists on sight, you won't see the 300 or so women and children massacred this last week in any leaked videos. Regardless, I'm sure that is exactly what it looks like...

Or, since this video is (or possibly is) from a bloodbath brought upon by the Palestinians on themselves, Israel is never responsible for such scenes.

This whole affair has certainly stirred up a lot of emotions in me. Last night I rewatched an interview with James Baldwin, famous writer, playwright, activist. The interviewer asked James Baldwin to speak about the differences of Malcolm X and MLK and what is precisely going on here. Turns out this video is actually from 2005 and was a result of a Hamas truck full of explosives blowing up, not an IDF strike. It apparently was uploaded to Liveleak initially with parts of the video intentionally removed so that the context wasn't clear. It seems strange to me though, the lengths which were taken to do this, however, and according to some Redditors Livelink has ties to Israel and Massad so maybe this was done to make people skeptical about future posts that actually are legitimate, although the video was removed from Livelink with little to no explanation so eit

My resolution into the New Year has been to save more and at the very least understand where my most of my meager income is going into... Mint has been AWESOME for it.

One thing that really bothers me about bank and credit card companies is how UGLY they are. If logging onto my bank account on a Monday isn't depressing enough then I have to see how much I spent after a weekend of ski trips, $10 hot dogs at the chalet and breaking a pole while trying to do something stupid. Mint makes it at least a prettier experience.

hah-- Well nostalgia probably more than anything. I've yet to find a neighborhood in this world quite like the Summit/Grand & Cathedral/Crocus Hill area. But being a relatively poor college student at a school full of rich ski bums doesn't help either.
